January Sightseeing: Washington D.C.

The weather looks like there might be some winter weather coming! I love snow days just as much as the kids do. It is an excuse to relax a little and not be so frantically busy. We were touristy during winter break. If you are following me on Instagram, you've been bombarded by the images... but maybe you missed a few of these haha. 

We visited Arlington National Cemetery, the US Botanical Gardens, the American Indian Museum, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Library of Congress. The amphitheater at Arlington is one of my favorites from this month. It looks so majestic and Roman. We will have to go back when everything is in bloom. As a military wife, Arlington is very dear to my heart and we visited friends and family members who are buried there. If you ever have the opportunity to visit a State or National cemetery, please go and participate in the Wreaths Across America event if possible.
